Despite all the legal impediments, Willie Revillame is confident his new show on TV5 entitled “Wiling-Willie” will push through on Oct. 10, 2010. Willie, who’s now managed by Vic del Rosario, recently signed a multi-billion deal with the newest, most aggressive broadcast network in the country.
Willie’s fans and supporters are now rejoicing and are eagerly awaiting their idol’s return to television. Willie has been rehearsing for the show, with some former talents of the defunct “Wowowee” who’ve been loyal to him and who opted to join him in his new home station. “Wiling-Willie” will be managed by Wil Productions Inc. and co-produced with TV5.
During the recent contract-signing, TV5 Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan warmly welcomed Willie to the network. MVP said, “We have responded to public clamor and we look forward to collaborating and working with the team of Willie and Viva Big Boss Vic del Rosario in bringing the audience the best in Philippine entertainment.”
Willie signed up with TV5 after he rescinded his contract with ABS-CBN (which expires in September 2011 yet) and after his lawyers gave him the go-signal. Said Willie’s lawyer, Atty. Joel L. Bodegon: “It took some time for us to give Willie the go-ahead to sign up with TV5 because we have to meticulously scrutinize all the technicalities and legalities of his former contract. We wanted to make sure that his transfer will be as smooth as possible, without further legal drawbacks and hitches that can hamper his growth in his new network. With everything we’ve done and the actions that we plan to do, we believe that Willie is on the clear to work and grow anywhere he wants.”
On his part, Boss Vic, who is also Willie’s business partner, revealed that the controversial TV host’s decision to join the Kapatid network was because of TV5’s new management decisions to bring quality programs and excellent productions on television.
